Who We Are

The TLE Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (TLECFUE) is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the beauty industry. We support under-resourced beauty entrepreneurs with the resources they need to grow sustainable microbusinesses, and we provide aspiring beauty professionals with career pathway training, job placement, and the support to begin licensed careers in beauty.

We work with under-resourced beauty businesses across Massachusetts, from solo practitioners to small salon owners, and aspiring beauty professionals seeking career pathways in the beauty industry. Through training, job placement opportunities, and business support services, we help individuals and enterprises build sustainable futures in beauty.

What We Do

We offer a beauty career pathway program for aspiring beauty professionals and provide small business technical assistance for existing beauty entrepreneurs, connecting both with the resources they need to build sustainable futures in the industry.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to equip individuals and businesses in the beauty and personal care industry with the skills, technical assistance, and resources needed to launch, grow, and sustain meaningful careers and enterprises. Our work is grounded in the belief that talent exists everywhere; but access, guidance, and networks are essential for success.
