Business Background

Our success story is Nourish Room, a 1-year-old beauty salon in Andover, MA. The salon is operated solely by the owner. Nourish Room provides massage therapies and recovery treatments. The owner was not sure how to ramp up her business and needed guidance to grow the presence of the salon. This led the owner to approach TLE for technical support.

Challenges

The primary concern of the owner is marketing and coming up with marketing pivot strategies to better position her business for growth. At the time, the owner was paying for all sorts of advertising on different social media platforms but didn’t seem to gain any traction. The owner wanted to put her resources to better use. To our knowledge, the salon also had trouble using the appropriate tools to maintain its website. This became another area of difficulty for the business.

Technical Assistance Solution or Strategy

TLE’s main objective for the salon was to set a digital marketing strategy in place, improve social media engagement, and refine the backend of the business’s website. This called for an updated website w/ SEO and e-commerce capabilities and a customized digital advertising strategy and implementation plan. The business owner also received training and education on Search Engine Optimization best practices and digital advertising on social media to be better able to manage these functions on an ongoing basis.Website maintenance was an additional service that was included after working deeper into the project with the owner.

Service Impact

As a result of being in our Digital Optimization program and receiving customized one on technical assistance and business confidence training, the business is now in a better position to grow. It has seen increased traffic and has been able to attract a larger customer base. The business owner was also a recipient of MGCC’s Empower Digital Grant which was very helpful in getting the business owner access to those critical resources needed under their development plan to take the business to the next level.
