About Us

The TLE Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (TLECFUE) is a  non-profit organization founded in 2015 by Tricia D. Young as an extension of TLE Consulting Group’s support of the small business ecosystem in Massachusetts.

Our mission is to equip individuals and businesses in the beauty and personal care industry with the training, mentorship, and resources needed to launch, grow, and sustain meaningful careers and enterprises.

TLE delivers its work through two primary tracks:

  • Small Business Technical Assistance – one-on-one advising and targeted support for aspiring, early-stage, and established beauty entrepreneurs. Services include business planning, operations guidance, financial management, access-to-capital navigation, and post-launch coaching to help entrepreneurs stabilize and grow their businesses.

  • Technical Skills Advancement Program – Our Technical Skills Advancement Program provides advanced technical training opportunities for licensed beauty professionals and beauty school graduates seeking to strengthen their skills, expand their service offerings, and remain competitive in today's beauty industry. Through specialized masterclasses, hands-on instruction, and industry-led training, participants gain advanced technical expertise while building confidence, professionalism, and long-term career growth.

    Current training topics include areas such as Wig Installation, Modern Styling, and other advanced technical skills delivered by experienced industry professionals.

Since 2015, we have supported more than 500 individuals and businesses across Massachusetts.
